From humble beginnings to global success

Kings of Leon is an American rock band that has achieved immense success both in their home country and internationally. The band, which consists of three brothers (Caleb, Jared, and Nathan Followill) and their cousin (Matthew Followill), was formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999. They quickly gained a following in the UK, where they released their debut album, Youth and Young Manhood, in 2003. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish Kings of Leon as one of the most promising new bands in rock music.

Kings of Leon continued to release successful albums throughout the 2000s, including Aha Shake Heartbreak (2004), Because of the Times (2007), and Only by the Night (2008).
